Bağlantı Bridge

A place to meet, between two shores.

A proposed pedestrian connection between Beşiktaş and Üsküdar imagines the bridge as a public destination as well as a passage. Gardens, gathering spaces, cafes, galleries, and recreation areas create a shared civic landscape between the European and Asian sides of Istanbul.

The competition proposal approaches connection at two scales: a route across the water and a sequence of smaller places to pause. The program invites movement, recreation, and cultural exchange along a shared pedestrian landscape.
